Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The background is divided into two sections--blue representing a clear sky and gray symbolizing uniformity, while the yellow dividing line indicates a bright future. The orcas symbolize unity and strength as dental merges with the medical field, reflected by the Red Cross, to achieve optimal oral health and readiness. Combined, both fields play an important part in the overall Air Force readiness mission. The motto, “Supporting the Arctic Mission,” is what the unit is all about.
