Eleventh Air Force

Azure, in dexter chief a numerical “11” Gules, fimbriated Argent, in base a mullet bend sinisterwise of the last, charged by a torteaux, winged Or, detailed Brün; all within a diminished bordure of the fourth.

Attached below the shield, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed “ELEVENTH AIR FORCE” in Blue letters.

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The winged star-in-circle is adapted from the Air Force logo and is a stylized representation of the North Star, which suggests the unit’s home base in Alaska and the scope of the organization’s defense mission. The “11” refers to the numerical designation of the unit.
